Essential Functions and Tasks

  • Conducts and assists with operation of poker games.

  • Gets players checks and helps maintain poker table banks.

  • Ensures accuracy of table bank, table pot, and table rake.

  • Communicates verbally with supervisors of unnatural or irregular play and disputes on the game.

  • Notifies supervisor immediately of all mistakes or claims and makes resolution only at the direction of the supervisor.

  • Verbalizes player instructions, rules, or any other information as required in the procedures of the game.

  • Develops customer relations and facilitates the use of the one club card.

  • Maintains a helpful, courteous, safe, and clean environment of the game.

  • Promotes and maintains the highest level of service to all guests while staying alert to their needs and responds effectively to guest inquiries.

  • Resolves guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise refers the matter to management.? Notifies supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft.

Education and/or Experience


REQUIRED:



  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Minimum six (6) months of poker dealing experience, according to property requirements.

  • Must be classified as Poker Room Dealer and complete an approved training course in Poker.


PREFERRED:



  • One (1) year of poker dealing experience with multiple games.

  • Bilingual abilities.


Certificates, Licenses, Registrations



  • State gaming permit.

  • Background and Drug Check.

Work Schedule/Hours


Ability to work a flexible schedule including extended hours, weekends, holidays, and shifts.


 

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
