Job Description:
Image Scientists are responsible for providing image expertise in support of developing analytical processes and tools as well as assessing image quality impacts associated with collection and processing for dissemination, archival, exploitation and display of digital imagery.
Essential Functions:
Provides image science expertise to conduct image/product quality analysis throughout TCPED chain.
Assess utility of image processing routines and advanced algorithms operating on today's baseline and emerging remote sensing systems.
Investigates, analyzes and provides solutions to complex problems encountered by engineering services and quality control using standard engineering practices.
Discovers, designs and implements new ways to address emerging problems to improve data collection capabilities, data labeling processes, AI/ML/DL training processes, and algorithm development Authors technical documents and presentations Develop engineering-level (not production-level) software routines in ENVI/IDL, Python, C, C++, or MATLAB (at least one language) Demonstrates understanding of image processing techniques and software tools Conducts root cause analysis support from an image science perspective Performs written and verbal communication, including creating and delivering presentations
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and minimum 12 years of prior relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
The degree must be in Imaging Science, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering; or equivalent.
Expert knowledge of remote sensing systems in areas such like imagery analysis, geolocation & mensuration, radiometric analysis / modeling, product quality assessments, numerical & visual performance assessments, and other special / novel phenomenologies.
Experience maintaining Image/Product quality throughout TCPED chain and knowledge formulating product quality metrics.
Experience supporting demonstrations and verification & validation activities to support the training and deployment of AI/ML algorithms for remote sensing applications Experience designing and leading studies / analysis and support tool improvement efforts.
Active DoD TS or TS/SCI security clearance.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Eight or more years of experience working with customer remotely sensed data.
Vast knowledge of ground processing architectures and image processing algorithms for passive remote sensing systems and transitioning algorithms and processes into operations.
Expertise conducting engineering analyses to resolve system deficiencies and optimize performance in coordination with partners and end-users.
Experience as a Technical Lead developing solutions for customers, eg image processing algorithms, engineering tools to interrogate/measure various characteristics of image data.
Experience with UNIX based scripting.
Exposure to Advanced Geospatial Intelligence (AGI) and FSG (Full Spectrum GEOINT).
Experience with customer imaging systems and unique utility of different sensor modalities.
Subject matter expertise in analysis, exploitation, advanced processing in at least one discipline such as Electro-Optical (EO), Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR), Overhead Persistent Infra-Red (OPIR), Ground Moving Target Indicator (GMTI), AI/ML, Space and Airborne ISR, etc.
but exposure to all the areas.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
